The Problem: 180LA was hiring.
The Insight: Snapchat had just dropped “targeted geofilters”, and we knew every ad agency professional in LA would be experimenting with it the next day.
What We Did: Had the idea to invade 8 LA agencies from inside their employees’ phones with agency-specific filters around their offices. Pitched our GCDs at 6pm with a napkin doodle. Stayed up all night. Launched at 8am the next day.
Result: Over 120 of their unhappy employees contacted 180LA within 24 hours. I did not get a referral bonus.
